As soon as Jessica entered the living room, she saw Alistair standing by the dining table. 

Alistair had a striking face and a commanding presence; he was not an old and sleazy man. 

Just as Jessica was feeling puzzled, Audrey pointed at Alistair and said, “Mom, let me introduce you to my husband, Alistair.” 

Jessica was surprised. She thought, “What’s going on? Isn’t Ausreg’s husband supposed to be an old, sleazy guy? How does he suddenly turn into a young and handsome man?‘ 

Alistair also seemed a bit unsettled. He didn’t expect to see Jessica without any preparation. He could see Jessica sizing him up and appraising him. An indescribable tension spread throughout his body, 

Alistair quickly set down the dishes. He wiped his hands on his apron and walked over to greet Jessica. He said, “Mom, I didn’t know you were coming, I haven’t prepared many dishes. Please have a seat, I’ll fix something extra
