Alistair gently tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, his voice gentle. "My dad's opinion isn't important, so you don't need to worry about it."

Audrey paused for a moment, then started to laugh, teasing, "I didn't expect Mr. Francis Hayes to have such a low rank in the family. I almost feel sorry for him!"
