Audrey was startled with wide eyes.

Without thinking further, she grabbed Alistair's arm and ran down the fire escape.

Alistair shook his head frustratedly, following her.

The two ran out of the recording building and found the streets brightly lit, with many pedestrians.

With so many people around, Audrey felt too shy to keep holding Alistair's hand.

But as soon as she let go, Alistair grabbed her hand back and pointed to the small park nearby, signaling Audrey to follow him.

The park had a small grove, a favorite spot for young couples to meet up at night.

Even though they were a legally married couple, being pulled by Alistair to this secluded area where they could still hear the far-off sound of traffic gave Audrey a thrill of embarrassment.

When they entered the grove, Alistair pressed her against a tree, kissing her with an exhilarating intensity that filled her mind with excitement and nervousness.

Her breathing quickened, and she pushed against Alistair's shoulder, leaning on him uneasily and saying, "Stop it; let's hurry back. If someone finds out we've snuck out, it'll be bad."

If the show crew found out they snuck out for a private meeting, they'd definitely gossip about them.

Alistair gently stroked her hair and softly reassured her, "Don't worry; the power will be back in a few more minutes."

Hearing this, Audrey looked up at him curiously and asked, "How do you know how long the power will be out?"

She wondered if this power outage had been his way of arranging a private meeting with her on purpose.

Thinking of this possibility, Audrey felt a bit frustrated. With so much equipment and so many people from the production crew, the loss they suffered from a few minutes of a power outage could be significant.

In her opinion, Alistair's behavior was nothing different from that of a clueless ruler from ancient times, and she had become the seducing woman now.

He answered, "The production crew sent me a message saying the equipment needs maintenance, so the power will be off for about ten minutes."

Audrey felt relieved, upon hearing that he didn't have the power turned off on purpose.

She played with his hand and softly asked, "So why did you suddenly come to the set? I was surprised when I saw you this afternoon."
