Alistair rubbed his temples, a flicker of impatience crossing his eyes. "Is this the urgent matter you were talking about?"

Logan exclaimed excitedly, "Yeah, I finally found someone who resonates with my soul. Do you know how rare that is?"

Alistair scoffed coldly and asked, "Didn't you say the same thing about your last girlfriend? That was like a month ago, or was it even a month?"

"This time it's different." Unfazed by his buddy's reveal, Logan was instead quite thrilled and said, "Alistair, I think I'm about to get married soon. Get ready to celebrate at my wedding."

Alistair was genuinely surprised.

He chuckled lightly and curiously asked, "Wedding? Weren't you the one swearing off marriage?"

Half a year ago, when Logan learned about his sudden marriage with Audrey, Logan pitied him, saying marriage was the end of love.

Alistair wondered, 'Why is he suddenly so keen on marriage now. Has he really found his true love?'

Logan laughed heartily and said happily, "I was against marriage because I hadn't met the right person. Now I'm absolutely certain—I have to marry her."

Alistair raised an eyebrow and said noncommittally, "I wish you success."

"Haha, don't worry. I'll win her over in less than a week," Logan said with great confidence.

Alistair's eyes flickered with doubt. He was about to say something when he heard hurried footsteps coming from the stairs and a stranger's voice calling him, "Alistair."

Audrey never expected to find herself locked in the storage room on the basement level.

A little while ago, she had just come out of the restroom and ran into Yulia.

As they brushed past each other, Yulia suddenly lowered her voice and said, "Audie, during the power outage yesterday, I saw you kissing Alistair in the park's woods."

She proudly lifted her chin, her tone rebellious. "I even have pictures. Do you want to take a look now?"

Audrey knew inside that Yulia didn't release the photos directly; instead, Yulia chose to come to her. Yulia must want to trade the photos for benefits.
