Mia hummed. "Wipe your tears."

Noelle blinked as Mia handed her a tissue. After a brief hesitation, she accepted it.

Mia paused. "Your boyfriend is really handsome."

Noelle immediately knew Mia had seen Cedric. She chuckled bitterly. "So you know who he is. I only just found out myself."

"Is that why you're fighting?" Mia guessed immediately.

She had heard gossip from Samantha that Noelle's boyfriend was poor and struggling financially. Who would have thought he was actually the heir of the Greene family? If he was considered poor, then everyone else must be struggling for scraps.

"I never imagined he'd lie to me for so long." Noelle knew that given Mia's family background, she must have interacted with the Greenes and had likely seen Cedric before.

She looked at Mia curiously. "Has my brother ever met Cedric?"

Mia shrugged. "I'm not sure, but different social circles don't usually interact with one another. I only saw him a few times when we were kids, but never after that."

Someone like Cedric, with his status and responsibilities, would be busy with work, social engagements, and travel. He rarely appeared in public, so it was natural that those outside his circle wouldn't recognize him.

Mia paused. "Your brother and I haven't settled in yet. My family hasn't made his identity public, so he hasn't been introduced to these circles."

It made sense that Donovan hadn't met Cedric.

Noelle nodded. She glanced at Mia. "But I made things clear with him. I also brought up breaking up. We're not a good match. Especially since he has a fiancee."

"He doesn't." Mia was firm. "Yesterday's news was fake. The Merlock family has always wanted their eldest daughter to marry Cedric. Emma agreed, but Cedric himself never did. All the rumors over the years were just speculation."

Mia looked at Noelle seriously. "You might doubt me, but you can't doubt the information I've gathered."

Noelle smiled. As the eldest daughter of the Cantrell family, Mia's words carried weight.
