By evening, Lenora had nearly adjusted to the time difference. She invited Sophia to join her for dinner at the restaurant.
After dinner, Sophia suggested they take a stroll outside
The area bustled with people, many of whom were tourists visiting the city. They enthusiastically snapped photos, seemingly never tiring of the activity.
Lenora and Sophia stood by the dock, where they were greeted by the refreshing sea breeze. It was cool and exhilarating.
The lights cast a brilliant glow on the sea’s surface. The shimmering waves danced, their reflections flickering like gold, creating a scene of exquisite beauty
As they took a few photos here, Lenora couldn’t shake the feeling that they were being watched.
Yet, as she scanned her surroundings, she saw nothing
They took another stroll around the Sloummont Opera House before returning to their hotel.
Jonas wouldn’t arrive for a couple of days. Until then, it was just Lenora and Sophia.
On the third day, Lenora and Sophia visited the Queen Valkyrie Building.
The Queen Valkyrie Building was the biggest shopping center in Sloummont.
With its glass dome and spiral staircase, the building itself exuded classic elegance and rich history. It was already a tourist attraction before becoming a shopping center. Now, it was an essential stop for tourists in Sloummont.
Within the grand building, there were food courts, cafes, and restaurants aplenty. It was more than just a place for local brands, as it also housed numerous internationally renowned stores.
Lenora came here not only for sightseeing but also with a specific purpose in mind. She was here to deliver a gift to Jonas and planned to take some souvenirs back with her as well.
However, up until now, Lenora still didn’t know what to get Jonas.
Sophia said, “Let’s not rush. We’ll stroll around leisurely. We might just come across something suitable.”
Inside a certain shop, Lenora had her eyes set on a men’s wristwatch that exuded an understated elegance.
The salesperson laid the watch on the table, showcasing its beauty and highly recommending it.
“Soph, what do you think about gifting this watch to Jonas?”
“It’s fine, but do you really have to give him a gift?”
“Yes, to return a favor.
Lenora was about to ask the salesperson to prepare the bill when suddenly, an arrogant voice interrupted.

them. “Wrap this watch up for me!”
Lenora recognized the voice. She turned around and sure enough, it was the woman they had encountered on the plane. She was pointing at the watch in front of Lenora.

The woman recognized them as well, her gaze filled with contempt. “Oh, it’s you two penniless fools. Car you even allord to buy the stuff here? Don’t embarrass yourselves in front of the crowd.”
“You don’t have to worry about us embarrassing ourselves,” Lenora responded coolly, then turned to the
пр salesperson. “I had my eye on this watch first. Please wrap it for me.”
The woman rushed forward immediately. “Wrap it up for me! You must not sell it to them. They can’t afford it!”
She had taken a liking to this watch as soon as she saw it. It would perfectly complement the gentleman she had encountered on the airplane. If they were to meet again, she was determined to gift him the watch.
The salesperson sized up the woman’s attire, then glanced at Lenora and Sophia, showing a hint of hesitation.
Lenora and Sophia were dressed quite well, even better than the average person.
The woman, on the other hand, was simply too conspicuous in her attire, adorned from head to toe in designer labels.
Lenora confidently placed her credit card on the table. Since I’ve decided to make the purchase, I can certainly afford it!”
“I’ll pay five times the price. Just give me this watch,” the woman commanded. “Sell me this, and I’ll buy a few others from you!”
If I sold several watches all at once, I wouldn’t have to worry about this month’s performance.
Lenora furrowed her brows. “I was here first. I chose this watch first. This place is frequented by tourists. Can’t you even manage something as simple as first–come–first–serve? Where’s your manager?”
“I didn’t say that, you know. If you’re taking it personally, it’s not my problem, Sophia said, shining her shoulders.
The woman, in a state of frustrated desperation, rushed forward and raised her hand to strike Sophis
