"But it is." He grabbed my other hand.
"How? How are you a werewolf?"
"No one knows, it just is."
"Are you the only one?"
"No. There's a bunch of us. There are packs across the world."
"Why me?" He looked at me confused. "Why did you chose me as your mate?"
"I didn't. The Moon Goddess chose you for me, I think she did quite an amazing job." I blushed as he bent down to kiss both of my hands.
"What happens now?"
"As long as we're together it doesn't matter, and we can move as slow as you like."
Even though this still didn't feel real, I was more than willingly to continue on with this journey. "Okay."
ALPHA RYAN
When we got downstairs Linda had already left. On the counter sat French toast, eggs, and bacon. I gestured for Alex to have a seat at the table as I made us both a plate and sat them down at the table. "What would you like to drink? Coffee? Orange juice? Tea?"
"I'll take coffee with cream and sugar." She smiled shyly up at me. Despite her accepting me as her mate I think she was still processing it, and that was okay because I knew this was something new to her and would take some time getting used to.
"Coming right up." I sent her a wide smile and made my way to the kitchen.
I poured both of us a fresh cup of coffee into a mug along with crème and sugar, I stirred it and place it in front of her and the other one on my side of the table. "Yum." She moaned as she took a sip. I watched her sip on the coffee, and then take her tongue and wipe it across her bottom lip. I couldn't wait to make her moan just- I had to shake my head to remove those thoughts from my head.
She must have noticed my staring because at the moment she cleared her throat. "So tell me about your.... Pack?" She cut a piece of her French toast and placed it in her mouth.
"Yes, pack. I'm the Alpha, I lead the pack and-." She cut me off.
"Hold on, you're the leader of this pack." She said in disbelief.
"Yes, you'll be the Luna."
"What's a Luna?" She said with her eyebrows furrowed.
"Yes, of course. We're considered equal, you have just as much power as myself."
"Oh." She looked around nervously.
"Don't worry everything is going to be fine." I took her hand in mine and used the other one to place a piece of bacon in my mouth. "You're actually taking this better than I thought."
"I mean it makes sense, I always felt a weird connection with you and the sparks when we touch." She blushed as her eyes drifted to our enlaced hands.
I laughed loudly making her blush even brighter. "Do you have any more questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them?
"Since I'm the Luna of this pack, what do I do?"
"Well my mom, she usually just took care of the pack, my dad confided in her a lot. My dad always said a good Luna is the key to a good pack and Alpha. A Luna has many jobs, it's up to her to choose the one she wants. Think of it as the first lady." Her eyebrows scrunched up together, the way I was explaining it was quite confusing. "My mom can explain it better."
She nodded and went back to eating her food. The rest of breakfast was spent in silence the only sound was us either cutting our food or chewing it. Once we were done I took both of our places and put them into the dishwasher along with her mugs.
"What time is it?"
We were currently watching TV on the couch, so close to each other that every once in a while our legs would brush up against each other. I noticed that every time we were around each other, I would always find a way to touch her and be near her it was the mate bond.
