"Yes and no," I replied without taking my eyes from the field.
"Well I'm super excited I can't believe I get to finally meet your mate."
Speaking of my mate I found myself missing her and wanting to hear her voice, "You think you can watch over them, I have something to take care of." I lied.
"Right," He said knowingly. "Go ahead, I'll see you tonight."

"I thought you were working today." I kissed her, once she had opened the door.
"I did but I thought I'll take the day off, it's actually been a while since I've had one." She closed the door behind me.
"Good."
For the past week, we had been hanging out every day, whether it was before or after work or during her lunch break. We would also text all during the day and facetime at night. I was still shocked of how well she had taken things, and I couldn't be happier. "You hungry?"
"I could eat," I told her with a smile.
She nodded and pulled out stuff for a sandwich. "Sorry, I haven't been to the grocery store in so long."
"It's fine."
She spread the mayonnaise on the bread and place it on what looked like to be a sandwich maker. She placed cheese, turkey, tomatoes and lettuces on top of the bread, before closing the sandwich maker. A couple seconds later she opens it and placed it on a plate, before cutting it in half.
I took a bite. "Yum, I love how the cheese is halfway melted."
"Thanks." She made herself one and sat next to me.
"So you ready for tonight?" I asked.
"I'm a little nervous." She said quietly.
"Don't worry, I'm gonna be by your side the whole time."
This clearly made her happy because she smiled and leaned over and pressed her lips against mine. We spent the rest of the afternoon lounging around the house and watching Unbreakable on Netflix's. It wasn't until six o'clock when my mom requested that I come home right away, or she would come and get me and drag me there.
"Should I come too?" Alex asked as she stretched while still sitting on the couch.
"You can if you want, I could just pick you up later, but I'm sure that my mom would love to meet you beforehand."
"Okay." She nodded and went up the stairs.
She paused and looked to be thinking. "Ryan will bring it up."
"Should I call or text him?" I asked confused.
"No, I already told him." She must have noticed the look of confusion written on my face because at that moment she decided to elaborate. "I told him through our mind link. Ryan told you about that didn't he?"
"No." I shook my head.
"That boy." She shook her head with a smile. "It's a way to communicate with one another, through our minds. You will get it once you and Ryan are marked and mated."
"Marked? Mated?" She dragged me up two flights of steps. I was out of breath and I had to run to keep up with her, it must have had something to do with her being a wolf or the fact that I hadn't been to the gym in months. Either way, I was embarrassed that I was sweating from going up two flights of stairs. Luckily we had finally reached a room, it was the one that I had woken up in.
"Oh god please tell me he didn't leave out those parts?"
"What parts?" Ryan asked as he came into the room holding my things. He sat my bag on the bed.
"How come you didn't tell her about the mark and mating?" She placed her hands on her hips.
"Didn't come up." He shrugged and took a bite of the apple that he was holding.
She rolled her eyes at him and turned back to me. "When you guys are ready to move into the next step in your relationship, Ryan will mark you as his mate and then you guys will mate."
