LUNA ALEX

After walking away from Ryan I walked up the stairs to my porch. I felt bad that I was acting this way, everything in my body was pushing me to go apologies and agree to go back with him. The other part of me didn't want to chance seeing Heather again. I told myself that I would make it up to him later.

The first thing I noticed was that my door was halfway opened, it looked as if someone had jammed the door open. I step into my house and everything was completely destroyed. The couch had been ripped almost in half, the coffee table was cracked, many of the windows and mirrors had been busted, and the various pictures of my father and I or Liz and her children had been ripped up and now were scattered on the living room floor.

I couldn't help the screamed that ripped from my mouth, Ryan ran in like a mad man and immediately came up to me and check me for injuries. "Are you okay?" His face was covered in concern.

"Everything is ruined." I whimpered. He looked around the room and growl at the sight.

"Let's get your things and get out of here." I nodded and with his help we made it upstairs. To my surprised there weren't many things upstairs destroyed besides the various mirrors and/or TV's.

I begin to pack my things, Ryan stood in the doorway, and from the expression on Ryan's face he seemed to be mind linking someone from his pack.

He growled. "Is everything okay?"

"Apparently the guards that I had assigned to be here decided that since you weren't here that they could just leave."

"Guards?"

"Yes, I've had people guarding your house since I met you." He said nonchalantly as if it wasn't a big deal that he had people spying on me.

"What?"

He shrugged. "What's the big deal?"

"You had people watching me."

"Clearly it was a good idea." He gestured to the room. "What would have happened if you were here?" I didn't have an answer but I knew it was still wrong.

I couldn't think of any reason why someone would do this. I didn't have any enemies, definitely not someone that would want to hurt me like this. I turned back to him. "Did you know these people?"

He kissed my fingers. "No, I gonna keep you safe."

After a few minutes of Ryan comforting me, I went back to packing some of my things along with a couple valuables of my father while Ryan nailed my front door and the windows that were busted shut using my father's tools. Ryan promised to have the door and the windows fixed and install a security system so that no one would bother the house. We made sure all the other windows were locked and went out the back door, making sure to lock it.

By the time we got back to Ryan estate it was after 1 a.m. All the fellow party-goers were gone and the house was quiet. Ryan carried by bags upstairs to his room while I trailed behind him.

"Have you ever thought about getting an elevator, those are a lot of stairs?" I said after I caught my breath from the four flights of stairs we came up just to get to his room.

"Not really." He sat my bags down on the bed.

"Well, you should. I know that you're a wolf but I'm human and there's no way that I'll be walking up those stairs every day for the rest of my life." I said making him smile brightly. "What?"

"Nothing." He shook his head and went to open one of his drawers. "Here." He pulled out a long velvet box and handed it to me.
