The next morning, we packed up our five SUV trucks and headed to The New Elite Pack. Ryan and I and two pack fighters were in one of the cars, Lily and her parents in another one, and the other three were filled with pack fighters.

"If you and Alpha Noah are friends why are we bringing so many pack fighters?" I asked Ryan.

"Because The Moonlight Pack is coming?" He said as if that explained it.

"Okay..." I trailed off waiting for him to elaborate.

"There's a bad history between them and us. This is just a precaution, just in case he tries something stupid." He growled at the thought of something like that happening.

I nodded and felt myself becoming worried.

"Everything is going to be fine, I promise." Ryan mind linked me.

It was just a few days ago when I was informed by Ryan that we were able to communicate through our minds. I was still getting used to it but I find myself liking the fact that we could communicate anytime without others hearing.

"Okay." I mind linked him and moved so that I was cuddled up next to him in the back of the truck.

We arrived at The New Elite Pack a few hours later. I was immediately greeted by Ellie and her mate Alpha Noah.

"I so happy to finally meet you." She hugged me.

"You too." She smiled before going over to hug Lily. "I missed you, Lily.

"I missed you too," Lily said uninterested as she looked around the territory.

"Once you guys get settled, our chef has prepared dinner for us," Ellie said with a smile. From the corner of my eye, I could see Lily walking off in the distance.

"Sounds good." Ryan grabbed onto my hand. We were led into their house and up the stairs to the bedroom that we would be staying in.

"Wanna take a nap before dinner?" He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

"Sure."

After Ryan and I's nap, we showered and got dressed. I dressed in a white asymmetrical t-back bodycon dress, with black leather heeled sandals. He wore a pair of light jean pants with a blue button-down shirt with a pair of black vans.

"Ready?" He asked me.

"It is!" He slammed his hand on the table. "No daughter of mine will whore around with someone that is not her mate."

Never before I had seen Paul so angry, in fact, I had never seen him this way before. He had always seem laid back and never really had too much to say. I assumed he had only reacted this way because he was an overprotective father and the image of Lily with a guy disgusted him. Either way, I knew that I didn't want to get on his bad side so I continued to silently eat my food as the argument went on.

"Paul." Lisa gasped. "You will not speak of Lily that way. She told him clearly upset by his behavior.

"I want her back here now." He demanded sternly before leaving the dining room table with Lisa on his heels.

"Who wants dessert?" Ellie gestured to the banana bread that was on the table, completely ignoring everything that had just happened.

With a shrug, I raised my hand. "I'll take some."

ALPHA RYAN

"Why did your father react that way?" Alex asked me. She had just changed into her pajamas and was now in the middle of taking off her make-up.

Dinner had ended shortly after desert and I couldn't be more pleased to be away from all the family drama. Once my father had found Lily he had promptly made her come back to the pack house. They ended up arguing for a bit before Lily retreated back into her room. From a distance I could still hear my parents arguing and as much as I tried to tune them out it was getting hard to do. Noah should seriously invest in sound proof rooms.
