If Noelle could hack into so many phones, Samantha was certain that the former had the skills to do the same to hers. The misery she suffered was all because Noelle exposed those videos and pictures as evidence.

"You're currently on bail, Samantha. Stop causing trouble. Laura is in talks with the Greenes about an engagement. It'll be called off if you create a scandal or end up in jail," Ruth warned.

"So you care only about Laura and not me? If she's engaged to the Greenes, dealing with Noelle should be a piece of cake."

Yet why was Noelle still flaunting herself in front of her?

Ruth sighed. "That's not what I mean. Once Laura's engagement is finalized, you can deal with anyone you want, and no one can stop you."

"How dare a bitchy country bumpkin like her coming from nowhere act so arrogantly? I'll make sure she suffers terribly!" Noelle hissed through gritted teeth.

Samantha couldn't bring herself to swallow the humiliation. She'd always lived a smooth and privileged life, and now that she was being brought down by a country bumpkin, she'd never let it slide.

Noelle woke up the next day feeling refreshed.

After getting up, she decided to head to the gym to practice boxing. She had grown more enthusiastic about it ever since she'd beaten Samuel up.

Just as she was about to leave, she received a text from Cedric. "Any plans for the weekend?"

Walking out the door, she typed her reply. "I recently joined a gym. Heading there for a workout soon!"

Her apartment wasn't far from Yole University, so she rented a bike for the short trip.

Her trainer had mentioned that her stamina was lacking, her muscles were underdeveloped, and she had insufficient strength. She needed extra training.

Before setting off, Noelle glanced at her phone. Cedric hadn't replied. She tucked her phone away and rode off to the gym.

A luxury car sat parked on the opposite side of the road. Cedric watched silently as Noelle rode away and decided against sending another text.

Grace sighed. "Jessica was taken in by the police for questioning. Samuel confessed everything, including how Jessica called him to suggest setting you up. There was solid evidence."

The school might've been able to protect Jessica and perhaps just give her a warning, but Samuel turned against her at the last minute.

Noelle said nothing much to that. Jessica's current predicament was entirely her own doing.

There were classes on Monday morning as usual. As Noelle approached the class, she was stopped by a middle-aged couple. "You're Noelle, aren't you?"

She remembered they were Jessica's parents. She'd met them at the start of the semester.

She nodded. "Yes, I am."

The middle-aged woman, Teresa Brewer, raised her hand and slapped Noelle. "It's all your fault that my daughter ended up in such a state!"
