Noelle focused on her classes and ignored the Liddell family's messy affairs.

That afternoon, she received a call from Donovan. "Xenia has been taken to the police station for investigation. Were you really that impatient to send her in?"

"Yes, I was." Noelle had waited a long time for this day. Then, she calmly continued, "Have you thought about what I told you that day?"

Donovan didn't answer and hung up the phone instead. Noelle glanced at her phone and chuckled in amusement.

After class, she went to the training base to practice with her teammates and live-streamed their training session.

Ever since the Cantrell family had her streaming account suspended, she no longer stuck to a fixed weekend schedule. Most of her streams were about the team's training to build their reputation early on.

By evening, she returned to the Liddell residence.

Wyatt had spammed the group chat about dividing the family's assets, and she wasn't going to miss such a show.

As soon as she stepped out of the car, she saw Lucas waiting at the entrance as if he'd been expecting her.

He hesitated before saying, "Wyatt and Donovan are having an intense fight."

"I figured. Donovan doesn't agree to splitting the assets, does he?" Noelle replied.

"Right. His company is at a critical stage of listing, so he doesn't want to be distracted by that. He doesn't approve of Wyatt and Xenia's engagement either."

Noelle was surprised to hear that Donovan didn't agree to the engagement. Hadn't he pleaded with her to let Xenia off with the excuse that the pitiful Wyatt finally got with the lady he liked?

"Noelle, if Donovan does split the assets, Frank and I discussed and vowed to get you your fair share."

"I don't want a single dollar aside from what Mom and Dad left me." She didn't need any of Donovan's earnings. If she took his money, she'd be morally indebted for life.

With that, she walked straight into the house, only to hear the ongoing heated argument between Wyatt and Donovan.

Xenia was startled and visibly flustered. "I just happened to lose my head in the moment, and I promise not to make the same mistake again. Both Wyatt and I will always listen to you."

She knew Donovan liked being in control and having absolute authority, so she'd always acted submissively in front of him.

Sure enough, Donovan's expression softened.

Just then, Noelle walked into the hall. She looked up at Wyatt and Xenia and asked, "When's the engagement? I'll make sure to give a gift."

"Since you knew we were getting engaged, you shouldn't have reported Xenia to the police!" Wyatt tightened his grip on Xenia's hand protectively.

Noelle leaned on the table and rested her chin on her palm. Then, she turned to Xenia. "I ran into Justin today. Guess what he told me."

Xenia's face paled instantly. Noelle smirked and continued, "He said you two never broke up."
