Obsession novel Chapter 48

I sat at home with Alex and waited for Jamie to get home. The hours ticked by and I heard a car pull in so I got up and fixed up some coffee for him, and poured it in a mug, pouring Alex a cup of coffee as well.

Jamie walked inside and looked at me, chuckling.

"And who is your friend?" Jamie asks, wiggling his eyebrows, taking the cup of coffee I poured him and drinks it.

"Basically it's a long story- also his basically like my assistant- assistant friend" I say and giggle.

"He comes with me everywhere and he insisted on saying that he wants to see New York. Is that okay? I mean we could always stay at a hotel if the house gets too cramped I mean- you have a fiance and all-" I say and Jamie shakes his head, interrupting.

"Nope, you're my little sister, so you're stating and your friend is staying too. Also, Kelly and I broke up a couple months ago, so no fiance" He chuckles

"I'm sorry" I say softly and he shrugs, brushing it off.

"It's fine, she's a cheating whore anyways" He shrugs and finishes his coffee.

"I'm sorry Jamie. I really am" I say and he nods.

"So what's your name pretty boy?" Jamie asks and Alex chuckles.

"I'm Alex" he says and Jamie nods.

"You two can order pizza or something. I'm really tired and I'm gonna go to bed. I'll see you two tomorrow morning alright? And behave" Jamie says and I smile, and he goes upstairs.

I look around the house and end up putting some toast in the toaster, buttering it and Alex and I both just eat it plain because well, we were both too lazy to order pizza and I was really tired.

I go upstairs and put pjs on, brushing my teeth and I end up falling asleep.

The next morning:

I woke up feeling like shit. My head was sore and I was just in a really negative headspace with everything going on around me.

I got up and I went to the bathroom, stripping and I climbed into the shower. The water hit my body and instantly relaxed me. I soaped my body down and shaved everywhere. Putting shampoo on my hair, I lathered it and rinsed it out, applying conditioner in, and rinsing again.

After making sure all the soap was off my body I turned the tap off and wrapped a towel around my body. I think today called for some changes, so I slipped on a black long sleeved shirt as it was cold, a black pair of skinny jeans and a pair of vans. I brushed my hair and let it dry out naturally, brushing my teeth and I went out the room.

I walked to the room Alex was staying in but he wasn't there. His bed was made and the room smelt of male masculinity.

I walked downstairs and I saw Alex standing and talking to Jamie.

Jamie had his work clothes on, meaning that he was going to go to work soon.

"Goodmorning" I smile and Jamie smiles.

"I see you're up and ready. Plans for today?" Jamie asks and I nod.

"I'm planning to go sight see with Alex. Maybe buy a couple of things" I shrug and Jamie chuckles.

"Exciting. You two enjoy it, if you need anything just call me okay? I'll bring dinner home so don't worry about that" He says and I nod.

Jamie says goodbye, and goes to work.

Alex was wearing grey skinny jeans with a shirt on and shoes. He looked pretty good. His hair was done neatly and he smelt good.

"Come on, I wanna go" I huff and he rolls his eyes.

"Yes yes, let's go" Alex says and gets on his black leather jacket and we I lock up the house, and climb into the car and drive off. I set my GPS on to a few clothing shops.

"Clothing shops? Why?" He asks and I roll my eyes.

"Because Alex, I need new clothes" I say and Alex nods.

I parked at the first shop and climb out, Alex following me and I walk to the leggings section, picking out a couple of leggings and I hand them over to Alex while I look at the shirts. I picked out a few shirts that looked pretty adorable and some showed some cleavage which is more than fine with me, sorry but I'll definitely be appreciated one way or another. I put the shirts in Alex's hand and walked to the till.

I was about to pull out my card but Alex beat me to it, and paid for all my clothes.

"You know that wasn't necessary" I say softly and Alex shrugs.

"I'm being a gentleman" He says and I sigh.

"Thank you, but being a gentleman doesn't mean you're obligated to buying all my things for me" I say and he shrugs.

"Don't care. Still going to do it" He says and takes my bag of clothes and we put it in the car, and drive to another mall and climb out.
