I limped myself towards the door but before I could even reach the door, Mason and his pack started to get up. My heart was in full over drive, I had to get me and Nate out of here. I quickly limped myself towards the balcony, and jumped which I fell on Nate's body. "Sorry," I quickly said as I picked him up again and started dragging him away from this place. Not only was I lifting Nate but I was also carrying our bags. "DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY!" I heard Mason shout in the distance. I didn't knew how should I feel, feel mad about the fact that my used-to-be-crush is trying to get our heads on his wall, or scared, scared that it might be the end of me and Nate. Maybe both.
Suddenly there was an old pick-up truck, in the back was full of hay. I quickly made my way to the truck and shouted to the driver "Hey! Do you mind if we catch a ride with you!?" the old man driver smiled and said "No problemo! Just climbed in the back," I quickly threw Nate in the back and got inside it and yelled "DRIVE!!!" just right as Mason's pack came outside the small cafe / Motel. The wheels of the truck screeched right as the driver pressed on the gas pedal. Before I could even register it in my mind the truck was already half way away from the cafe / motel.
As my back hit the soft hay, I let out a sigh of relief. Nate was right beside me, fast asleep. I smiled to myself knowing that what I did today saved mine and Nate's life, our future. I looked up to the sun that was about to set and thanked whoever was up there for keeping me and Nate safe. After a few minutes I drifted off to sleep.
I woke up a few hours I guess since all I could see in the sky were stars and dark clouds. I then looked over to my right and saw Nate staring at the stars. "How are you feeling?" I asked, but he didn't answer instead he said "Did you know that the stars are the second most beautiful thing in the planet," randomly. I looked up at the stars and I admired each one of them, "What's the first?" Not taking my eyes off the stars. "You," he said, making my stomach once again swarm with butterflies. I looked at him to see him already staring at me which made me blush like crazy.
His hand touched my cheek then he brushed a strand of my hair behind my ear. We stared in each others eyes as if the world stood still. He then frowned and asked "How are you feeling?" he knew something was wrong with me. Not only could he see it in my eyes but he could feel it through our bond. Even though we weren't fully bonded yet since we haven't mated yet, we still had a bond between us but if we ever mated it would become more stronger.
I woke up to see the sun shining down upon me and Nate, I looked down to see our bodies entwined with each other. I smiled to myself and bit my lower lip. Suddenly Nate's eyes opened revealing his amazing green eyes that made me melt twice as more as before. "Good morning!" I greeted him. He smiled and said "Good morning beautiful!" As he kissed my forehead. I was confused by this because I was expecting him to reject me all over again.
"Why?" I asked him,
