After Heaton and Verian left the hospital, Verian sat in the passenger seat feeling down.

“Heaton, tell me. Did I somehow offend Janny? Why does she always give me a hard time?”

Verian was of the same age as Jane. They were both girls and Jane kept finding fault with her. Needless to say, deep down, Verian felt terrible.
