Serene took her own sweet time in following her mother to the bedroom next door.

Serene's mother was pacing back and forth in the room as if she had a lot to educate her on but was too anxious as she did not know where to start.

Serene's mother pointed at Serene angrily. “You! Go and stand against the wall over there!”

Serene obediently went to stand against the wall as she held both her hands over her head in surrender. “Mom... Just now we... We weren’t doing that...”

Serene pinched her two ears which were burning and blushing. She bit her lips and mumbled, “If it’s not that then it isn’t...”
