Brad felt a sharp pain radiate from his lower abdomen, spreading through his entire body. It felt like he had suffered a severe blow to the back of his head.

He stood off to the side, clutching his stomach, and bent over in pain. How could Nadine kick him so hard? She clearly wanted him dead!

Brad shouted through gritted teeth, "Are you courting death, Nadine?"

If it weren't for the intense pain, he'd have made sure she felt just as much suffering. Though he had been taught never to hit a woman, Nadine had gone too far. Hitting her was the least of what she deserved.

In the bathroom, the water continued to flow. Nadine, drenched and disheveled, climbed out of the tub. Clutching her torn clothes, she tried to cover herself while glaring fiercely at Brad.

Her kick earlier had not been with her full force. If she had used all her strength, Brad would likely be in the hospital right now.

This scumbag! When he couldn't win with words, he resorted to this and even tried to force her. Had he forgotten what she studied?"

As a top student in medical school, Nadine knew the human body inside out. When she attacked Brad, she knew exactly how much force to use.

If she hadn't been precise, he wouldn't be standing here yelling at her. He'd be lying in a hospital bed.

When Nadine saw Brad bent over, clutching his stomach and gasping in pain, a faint smile spread across her serious face.

"Brad, let me say this once more. When I loved you, you were my treasure. Now that I don't, you're nothing! From now on, stay away from me, or I'll make sure your face looks like it has been stung by wasps!"

Though violence was wrong, it felt satisfying. After dealing with Brad, she felt a sense of relief and mental clarity she hadn't experienced in a long time.

Ignoring her wet clothes and hair, Nadine ensured she was decently covered before opening the bathroom door.

With a darkened expression, he walked into the walk-in closet and tossed his wet clothes into the hamper. He then shook his head to rid it of the excess water.

"Nadine, just you wait!"

If it weren't for her being a woman, he would have dealt with her already. Yet, a part of him was relieved she had stopped him in time. He shuddered to think of what he might have done otherwise.

As he changed into clean clothes, Travis knocked on the bedroom door. "Mr. Brad, Mr. Hamilton Senior wants to see you in his study."

With a reluctant hum, Brad exited the bedroom. As he walked out, he deliberately glanced around but saw no sign of Nadine.

A hint of impatience crossed his face. He thought that she was probably bad-mouthing him to Adam again.
