"Mr. Jenkins, please just get to the point."

Jean didn't even dare to look into Travis' eyes. Feeling nervous, she gripped the bed sheets so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

Travis cleared his throat and said, "Ms. Sawyer, I'm here on behalf of Mr. Hamilton Senior.

"I'm sure you're aware that Mr. Hamilton Senior isn't fond of you, so I won't comment much on that. Mr. Hamilton Senior wanted me to visit you to find out why you've returned. We gave you 50 million back then, and you left without a second thought. Do you think we gave you the money for nothing?

"Mr. Hamilton Senior recorded the footage. If you don't want that recording to reach Mr. Hamilton, you should know what to do. Also, if you stop harassing Mr. Hamilton, Mr. Hamilton Senior will give you a settlement, but you must cut all contact with him. That's all I have to say. I won't stay for coffee. It's up to you to decide."

Travis spoke quickly and left the room in a hurry.

Back in the ward, he reported to Adam. "Mr. Hamilton Senior, don't worry. Money can persuade anyone. I believe she'll comply."

However, Adam was not as optimistic. He shook his head. "Let's wait and see. I don't think she'll give in easily."

"Prepare the check. It'll be best if she decides to leave willingly. But if she refuses to take anything, we can't let her off the hook."

Travis acknowledged with a hum and respectfully left to prepare the cheque and cash.

After he left, Jean angrily leaned back onto her bed.

"Why is everybody forcing me to leave? I won't leave! Why am I being treated like I'm inferior? Do I deserve this?"

Standing outside the door with the coffee, Lynn heard the outburst but wisely chose not to enter.

After working for Jean for some time, she knew Jean's temper well.

She knew it was best to wait outside until Jean had calmed down.

Fortunately, Jean regained her composure. She wiped her tears, fixed her hair, and got out of bed.

Realizing that Brad was deliberately targeting her, she reluctantly picked up her phone again, hoping to see her precious son. Then, she called him.

To her surprise, Brad actually picked up this time.

"What is it?"

Brad's clear and pleasant voice rang out.

Even only by hearing his voice, Nadine could tell how smug he was.

She took a deep breath to calm herself and suppressed her anger. Gritting her teeth, she spoke into the phone, "It's me, Nadine."

Brad set down his coffee cup, held the phone in one hand, and picked up a pair of binoculars with the other hand. His smile widened as he watched Nadine pacing around outside.
