Brad had been feeling quite unsettled after being humiliated by Nadine earlier in the morning.

He was determined to find a way to turn things around.

When Nadine insisted on staying in the hospital with Adam, he decided to take advantage of the situation by taking Sean away.

Nadine cherished Sean the most. Holding Sean meant he could put Nadine under control. She wouldn't dare defy him if he had her child.

As expected, as soon as she left the hospital, she came running to find Sean.

She said she didn't want to return to Hamilton Estate, but here she was.

Nadine was the type who would misbehave if not kept in check.

Now that he had such a good opportunity, he wasn't going to let it slip by.

He was determined to make her grovel.

"I know it's you. What's wrong? I thought you blocked my number."

Brad grinned smugly when he saw Nadine's number pop up on his screen.

Nadine was the first person to ever block him!

Just an hour earlier, a nervous bodyguard had approached him with the set of jewelry Brad had shoved onto Nadine. The bodyguard was practically in tears. "Mr. Hamilton, Mrs. Hamilton gave me this. I didn't dare take it, but she insisted I have it."

Brad glanced at the jewelry and motioned for the bodyguard to place it on the table.

Examining it closely, he grew even more confused. He thought women loved makeup and jewelry. He wondered why Nadine refused to take them.

He couldn't figure out where things had gone wrong.

"What are you talking about?"

Noticing the irritation in his voice, Nadine quickly corrected herself, "I said I am being sincere. I'm sure you can feel it through my words. I hope you're not losing your hearing at such a young age. Otherwise, you might want to see a specialist while you're still young and get it checked out."

Brad was unbearable! She wondered how he could be so infuriating.

Brad wasn't buying her act. With a scoff, he retorted, "Why did you call me? Let me give you some advice, too. Don't be so snarky. Watch out or karma will hit you!"

He enjoyed playing mind games with Nadine. Hence, he dragged out the conversation with vague replies and avoided the main point.

Desperate to see her son, Nadine grew tired of the nonsensical chatter. She got straight to the point. "I'm here to pick up Sean. Please have the maid bring him to the front door."

Her tone softened considerably as she mentioned her son. She sounded even gentler than before.
