Brad's face fell when he heard Evelyn's words. His eyes turned a shade darker.

He stared at Evelyn as if she were a stranger. Evelyn had never seen such a gaze from him before.

Feeling the weight of his cold stare, Evelyn felt her heart sink. She hurriedly said, "Brad, even though you're not my biological son, I'm still your mother. I've always treated you as my own son. How can you look at me like this?"

Since reasoning failed, Brad had no intention of continuing the conversation.

Evelyn was trying to guilt trip him with their relationship. He had never seen someone so shameless before.

"Mom, no matter what you say, today's incident was Gigi's fault. If she doesn't show any remorse, I have no qualms about calling the police."

Gigi dared to threaten Nadine and Sean with a knife even when he was present.

He could imagine what she might do in his absence.
