"Enough!" Before he could finish his sentence, she cut him off sharply. "Brad Hamilton, cut the crap or I'll walk out right now and request that someone else take over your case!"

As the assistant to Brad's attending doctor, Nadine was responsible for him, but his antics were becoming unbearable. If this went on any longer, she'd lose her mind before he did.

Instead of being offended, Brad laughed. "What's with the attitude, Nadine? I could file a complaint against you for that, you know! Aren't doctors supposed to treat their patients with care and compassion? So, where's your patience? Where's your kindness?"

Brad knew exactly how to push Nadine's buttons, deliberately aiming his words at what she cared about most. He was determined to make her back down, just so he could relish the sight of her conceding.

Nadine hadn't expected Brad to be so good with words. His words hit their mark, leaving her momentarily at a loss for a comeback.

Compared to before, Brad had become even more of a jerk. He was beyond annoying. He was downright shameless. And she wasn't about to let him win.

Straightening her spine, she shot him a disdainful look. "Mr. Hamilton, you're not even a real patient anymore. Seraphina said you're fit to be discharged.

"Let me give you a word of advice: don't hang around the hospital if you don't have to. It's full of sick people. If you catch something, it'll only backfire. Also, stop wasting medical resources."
