After a long, awkward silence, Dolly forced a chuckle before nudging Bianca’s arm while saying, “…H-hey…! Things can occasionally go wrong… T-that aside, since you two didn’t date last night, I’m sure he won’t see Sophia again tonight…”

“D-Dolly’s right! Remember, Sophia’s the one who made the matchmaking app, so it makes sense that Lady Burton would pay more attention to the issue! With that said, relax and um… L-let’s get back to work! We still have a video to make!” added Bianca.

Smiling wryly, Xavia then muttered, “…Yeah…! There’s nothing to worry about… Regardless, I’m fine now… Thanks…”

Following that, Xavia headed off to get a change of clothes… however, it didn’t take long before Xavia heard a familiar meow. Realizing that Loveu had followed her in, Xavia picked the kitten up while saying, “Hmm? What’re you meowing about? Are you worried that your master’s deserted you after not seeing him for a few days?”

Upon hearing that, Loveu meowed again, prompting Xavia to add, “Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll visit you once he’s done with work. That aside, you still have me, alright?”

Watching as Xavia then put the cat down again, Bianca and Dolly couldn’t help but exchange glances. Was Loveu or Xavia the one that had been deserted…?

Whatever the case was, the day then went on as busily as usual… and once Xavia was off work, she realized that Zivon hadn’t texted her at all throughout the day. However, she has to return in two weeks for a check-up.”

Pleased to hear that, Xavia exclaimed, “I-I see! Thank you, doctor…!”

As Xavia quickly began going through the discharge procedures, Zayne happened to run into her, prompting him to ask, “Are the discharge procedures going smoothly, Miss Lockhart?”

Though Zayne had initially thought that Jenna was a better fit for Zivon, now that she was with Keith, the second-best choice for his brother was naturally Xavia.

Regardless, Xavia simply nodded happily as she replied, “They are. Speaking of which, thank you for all your help, Dr. Xenos! If you’re free tomorrow evening, why don’t you join us for dinner?”

Shortly after, Zivon—who had been working in his office on the ninety-ninth floor—received the message… and after giving it a read, he couldn’t help but glare at his phone.

Shortly after, the door creaked open… before a familiar voice replied, “Still working at this hour? That aside, you seem colder than usual… It makes me wonder who could’ve pissed President Burton off…?”
