Zivon had always had a good impression of that woman. After all, she was never sloppy, and she always got the job done as well. What’s more, he never felt unpleasant whenever he talked with her. Shaking the thought off, Zivon then lowered his documents as he replied, “It’s nothing. That aside, what brings you over this late?”

“Well, you had left in a hurry last night, so I wasn’t able to pass a message to you… Thankfully, I bumped into Nathan while I was leaving work just minutes ago, and after he told me that you were still here, I decided to come to your office to speak with you.”

The old lady had fallen ill again last night. Even so, she was still much more focused on the blind date’s progress… Knowing he couldn’t stall forever, Zivon had told Sophia to tell her how things were going… and following that, the old lady ended up talking with Sophia for ages.

It was already pretty late at the time, and worried that Xavia would wait too long for him, he ended up bolting to the hospital the second everything was over. Though Zivon had ignored her message, Xavia received a surprising text from Nathan, stating, ‘Young Master Burton hasn’t eaten at all today, Miss Lockhart… He’s also putting in a few extra hours at the office, and I’m getting a bit worried… Could you please pay a bit more attention to him…?’
