Xavia did not know how to respond.

Zivon carried her and said, “I'll take care of you while you bathe and get dressed.”

Xavia was dumbfounded, and before she could object, she was carried into the bathroom by Zivon. He gently lowered her into the bathtub, and to her shock, he reached out to undress her!

She panicked and covered her body. “Wait a second! What are you doing?”

Zivon leaned down and said solemnly, “As punishment, I will serve my wife for the rest of my life.”

What kind of punishment was that? And who was he calling his wife?!

Xavia refused. “It's fine, I’ll bathe myself.”

Zivon raised an eyebrow. “So I take it you're not angry?”

Xavia glared at him. That wasn't what she meant!

Why was he like this?!

She dared not answer because it seemed like he would ‘serve’ her if she did not forgive him. “Just leave.”

Zivon smirked. “Okay. Call me if you need anything, I’ll always be there for my wife.”

He was elegant, gentle, and charismatic. It was really very attractive, but she couldn't forget that he could also kill a person when he was angry!

Xavia took off her clothes and slipped into the bathtub, her body still slightly sore. She dared not think about what happened last night again…

He was confident and imposing—no man would have ever thought of giving everything at once! Additionally, it wasn’t just a playboy act. He had done his research because he genuinely wanted to know how to make her happy.

The wall surrounding Xavia’s heart immediately crumbled and all of the anger and disgust she felt earlier turned into indignation. Tears streamed down her cheeks and she choked out, “You’re the worst! How can you just hand me flowers after slapping me?”

Zivon’s heart ached and he stepped forward to hug her. “I’m sorry. It’s my fault and I promise to not lay a hand on you next time. Please stop crying, okay?”

He was gentle and doting, as if he was coaxing a little girl.

All of Xavia’s anger and aggravation gradually disappeared. After crying for a while, she took a deep breath and nodded. “If you are rude to me again, I will bite your hand off and make it into a braised pork knuckle.”

The corner of Zivon’s lip twitched. Even her curses were so full of personality. “Okay, I’m a pig and my hand is a pork knuckle.” He coaxed her to sit at the table, wiped away her tears, and then took care of her evening meal.

She ate the braised pork knuckles while he peeled the crawfish for her.
