Instantly cheering up when he saw her smile, Zivon smiled a little as he replied, “…Yeah. Sorry, I was too busy earlier to check my phone.”

“No worries, you’re starting from scratch again so it’s understandable. Either way, I’m currently visiting Wade at the hospital,” said the woman as she turned the camera to reveal Wade who was still lying on his bed.

Looking slightly down, Zivon rubbed his temple a little before saying, “So… You’re visiting another man and even bringing him fruits while I’m busy? This isn’t what I think it is, is it…?”

He was clearly just joking around, but Xavia quickly replied, “I-I swear it’s nothing like that! I’m only here because I don’t have work today! That aside, aren’t you worried that Wade will think you’re narrow-minded…?”

Smiling subtly, Zivon replied, “Well, only you know the truth to that. Either way, wait for me at the hospital. I’ll be coming over to fetch you.”

“Still no news? Are you absolutely sure that you’ve left no stone unturned? Fine. I believe the chances of them being abroad is pretty high, then. With that in mind, they should’ve used their ID card sometime, so use that information to your advantage. Good. I’ll contact you if I have any further updates.”

When he finally hung up, the concerned Xavia couldn’t help but ask, “…You’re not done with work yet…? If so, you could’ve just told me to take a cab back, you know…”

Glancing at her, Zivon replied, “As if I’d allow my one and only girlfriend to be swept off her feet by another man.”

Though she was touched to hear that, she quickly attempted to divert her shyness by saying, “O-one and only, huh…? Sounds to me like you want more than one…”
