The voice was filled with malice, and Xavia couldn’t help but go pale as she replied, “W-who are you? Don’t you dare harm my kids…!”

To her dismay, the man simply hung up, and this prompted the devastated Xavia to lean against her seat. It took her a while, but she was eventually able to whimper, “M-Maison… And Yulia… They’ve been kidnapped…!”

Zivon already knew since his ears were just that sharp, and after a brief pause, he brought her close to his chest while saying, “…I’ll deal with it. The kids will be fine!”

Following that, he took her phone and noted down the caller’s contact… and shortly after, he gave Nathan a call. When he picked up, Zivon growled, “I’ve just sent you a phone number. Locate where the caller is and make sure he doesn’t escape! He has Maison and Yulia, and if any harm comes to them, you’d best watch your back…!”

Feeling a shiver run down his spine, Nathan immediately replied, “I-I’m sorry for my incompetence, Young Master Burton! I’ll do so immediately…!”

With that said, it didn’t take long for Nathan to report back. The signal was coming from the ruins south of the city, the location where the kidnapper had said he was at! Now that she knew this, the anxious Xavia growled, “Let’s head over right now…!”

Though Zivon didn’t really want her to follow, he knew he couldn’t change her mind, so he simply began driving toward that location at top speed… While driving, Zivon made sure to continue ordering his subordinates around. From using the nearby surveillance cameras to identify the culprit, to thinking up precise plans to safely rescue the kids.

Naturally, his reliability helped ease her anxiousness a little. Even so, Xavia couldn’t help but wonder whether Jenna was the kidnapper. After all, she’d definitely be desperate enough to do such a thing after hearing the news. Her worry persisted throughout their journey to the ruins… and upon arriving, Xavia saw that the place was very deserving of its name.

“Understood, Young Master Burton!”

Once Nathan had left, Zivon got his phone out and began telling his investigators to send information regarding the area to him. After looking through the numerous photographs they sent over, Zivon couldn’t help but notice an eight-story high building near the center of the city. Since the photos he received were taken during the area’s initial construction, he could deduce that the building was the first classy area in this place.

After all, it was surrounded by forests, and each balcony even had a planting area. Though this place was probably once popular, it was currently covered in vines. Hell, there were even tree roots growing all over the place inside. If anything, it now looked like the entrance to an ancient labyrinth…

Shaking his head, he ultimately muttered, “…Call it a gut feeling, but I have a feeling that the culprit is in there.”
