“You aren’t taking her away.”

“Don’t push it, Ian…!” growled the infuriated Zivon in an extremely icy tone.

The unfortunate few who had been able to get him to this point either died or suffered fates worse than death… And though Ian would’ve been slightly intimidated had this been a mere battle of status, the fact remained that he was her brother. He was willing to walk through lava for the sake of his beloved sister…!

Glaring back at Zivon, Ian scoffed, “I’ll say whatever I want! After all, I’m her brother!”

And he was her husband- Wait, what did he say? Raising a slight brow, Zivon growled, “…What are you on about...?”

Tossing a few documents at Zivon, Ian replied, “Here’s the proof. If you still need more, feel free to run a paternity test.”

Squinting slightly, Zivon grabbed the documents and began reading through them. Since he was used to reading a lot, he was able to finish reading in no time… and by the end of it, his eyes widened. Ian had been telling the truth… Xavia was the president’s daughter, which automatically meant that Ian was her brother…!

No wonder Ian, who had never considered provoking him at the start, began opposing him out of the blue! So this was the reason why…! Though he could now relax a bit since he knew Ian wouldn’t covet his own sister, a new problem had arisen… He had been arguing with Xavia’s brother this entire time, and he had even punched him in the face…!

…That was extreme, even by Zivon’s standards. However, Ian had no reason to lie! To think that such a terrifying event could’ve conspired…

It made Zivon recall how he had headed home to rest after venting his feelings… And how he had learned that his mother was gravely ill the very next morning… He had been way too busy this entire time to even care about Xavia, and had it not been for Ian, she would’ve been dead by now…

After a long pause, Zivon was prompted to say, “…Let me see her. I want to see how she’s faring after all that!”

Ian, for one, wasn’t in the mood to let them meet. After all, he was the one who had saved Xavia, not him! What right did he have to make such demands?! However, before Ian could say a word, a familiar voice said, “Let us talk, Ian.”
