By this point, Xavia really couldn’t ask for more, so after releasing Wendy’s hands, Xavia replied, “…Thank you, Madam… I’m glad you’re my mother-in-law…”

Smiling in response, Wendy then said, “And I’m glad to have a kind daughter-in-law like you… Well, I’ll be taking a bath before I head back downstairs, so I’ll leave you be now.”

Nodding in response, Xavia couldn’t help but sigh with relief. With how things were going, her parents would no longer have any beef with her…

Just as she was about to head down, however, Wendy suddenly walked up to her again to add, “Speaking of which, be more careful of Fiona… Though I won’t deny that my opinion of her rose a little after seeing how much she cared for Zivon, I could hardly believe how shameless she was when she came over last night. After all, she clearly knows that he’s engaged to you.”

Raising a slight brow, Xavia replied, “…She… came over last night…?”

Nodding in response, Wendy then said, “She did… I saw her entering his room, but Zivon drove her out in no time flat, so you can be sure that nothing happened between them… Even so, just be careful around her.”

Nodding in response, Xavia then watched as Wendy walked off… and though she didn’t say anything, her mind was starting to brim with questions again. So, Fiona had lied earlier… Why was that? And why had Zivon hidden the truth from her? Unless… Had something happened between them…?

…No. She had to trust him a little more! After suppressing her suspicions, Xavia took a deep breath and continued heading downstairs…

Upon seeing the hair clip that she placed on the table, Fiona and Zivon instantly had grim expressions on their faces. Since she had managed to find it, that meant that Xavia was aware that Fiona had been here overnight, right?

Xavia herself was quick to notice their change in expression. Even so, she forced herself not to think about it. She had had enough misunderstandings for a while! After convincing herself of that, she then grabbed Zivon by the arm before dragging him out of the dining room as she said, “Alright, let’s head off!”

Though Xavia didn’t appear angry, Zivon couldn’t help but wonder if it was all just a façade…
