Puffing on his cigarette, Chace replied, “…Maybe, though… I was actually thinking about Fiona.”

“…What? But she saved me. Why would she-”

Halfway through his sentence, Zivon paused as his mind connected the dots. It took him a while, but he eventually added, “…You’re suggesting that she planned all this to kill Xav? But since it happened while I was underneath it, she ended up having to save me instead? And now she’s trying to act like a hero to get away scot-free?”

Nodding in response, Chace replied, “Bingo. Even after you brought Whitney up, I still think that Fiona’s more suspicious. After all, she’s failed to pursue you time and again, so now that you’re married to Xavia… It only makes sense for her to want revenge. Regardless, whoever the true culprit is, be sure to be extra careful from now on…”

Now starting to suspect Fiona as well, Zivon then said, “…I’ll get Nathan to look into this tonight. Thanks.”

Before Chace could reply, his phone began ringing… and when Chace saw who was calling, he smiled before picking up and saying, “I’ll be back soon…”

Since Chace was far too happy, he didn’t notice the change in Zivon’s tone. Following a chuckle, Chace then said, “Well, let’s head back already, then… Otherwise, they’ll both start thinking that we’re having affairs with other women… Jokes aside, I’m not letting go of Bianca this time… and you make sure to take good care of Xavia too, alright…?”

After Chace walked off, Zivon couldn’t help but look at his phone… and sadly, there were still no messages from her…
