“There’s a high chance that you’ll find some clues, so I’ll be awaiting your report,” replied Zivon as he reached for the door handle.

Basically, he’s been stalling his current job just to be in the palace’s reference room with Lana… Mrs. Burton has gone in there as well, so… I believe that we’ll find something in there.”

Glaring at Nathan, Zivon replied, “…Do you think I’m playing a spy game with my wife? What kind of husband would I be to resort to such lowly tactics?”

Instantly going pale, Nathan quickly lowered his head as he replied, “I-it was merely a suggestion, Young Master Burton…!”

Nathan had already been investigating this for a few days now, and since he had yet to get any solid details, he was starting to get slightly desperate…

Regardless, Zivon paid him no mind and simply told him that he would drop by the reference room before leaving the car…

Watching as Zivon walked off, Nathan couldn’t help but sigh. So using spy microphones was bad but investigating his wife wasn’t…? The way the minds of the rich worked truly boggled him…

Either way, upon entering the palace, several maids were quick to greet Zivon. Zivon himself simply stared at the darkened second floor of the main building before asking, “…Has Miss Xavia fallen asleep?”

Nodding in response, Ian replied, “Good. Tell the other maids how to answer Young Master Burton if he ever asks about something like this again in the future. He must not know about the reference room.”

After the maid walked off, Lana sighed before muttering, “…You won’t be able to hide this for much longer, Sir Ian… Especially since the poison has already spread so far…”
