“Forget marrying Sir Ian, even marrying a regular man will be infinitely better than marrying Young Master Burton. I assure you that you’ll be much happier,” concluded Jenna who truly meant everything that she had said. After all, she had learned all this the hard way, and aside from getting Whitney to give up, she was indirectly telling herself to stop falling for that man as well.

Alas, Whitney simply replied in a confident tone, “You and Sophia failed because you’re weak. I assure you that he’ll see things my way in the end! We just need to bond more, and you know what? I’m adding another condition! He’ll need to go abroad with me! That way, he’ll forget all about Xavia in no time!”

Upon hearing that, Jenna got so enraged that she couldn’t even find the words to refute!

Even Ian was startled by this woman’s brazenness. Knowing that nothing would get through her, the irked man growled, “…Let’s go.”

Once outside, Jenna was quick to growl, “She really doesn’t know what’s good for her, does she…?! Since that’s the case, just hire someone to steal the antidote from her! Strip her from all her luxuries…!”

Raising a slight brow when he heard that, Ian eventually replied, “…You’re one to talk when your methods were much worse than hers back in the day. At least she’s willing to bargain. You went straight for murder, remember?”

This naturally made Jenna go silent. After all, when he put it that way, it made her realize just how repulsive she had been in the past…
