“…Who are you two?” asked Xavia as she instinctively backed off.

To her shock, one of the men suddenly bolted forward and struck her on the neck! Due to how precise the hit had been, Xavia was instantly knocked out! This was by far the most effective way to deal with a target whom they couldn’t afford to harm!

Regardless, they then quickly got her into their car before driving off… and when Xavia finally woke up again, she found herself in a dark, enclosed room… Where was this place…?

Unsettled by how dark this place was, she quickly got up to find a light switch… but to her dismay, there didn’t seem to be one! Even worse was the fact that her phone was now gone! Had she been kidnapped? Was Jenna the culprit? If that was the case, then Xavia was truly done for this time…!

“H-Hello…? Let me out…!” yelled Xavia, hoping that she’d be able to slip out when someone came in to check on her. Unfortunately, nobody came no matter how much she shouted…! In the end, all she could do was get back on the bed and lean against the furthest corner of the room…

What was she going to do…? Was she seriously going to meet her end before she could even avenge her grandmother and Yulia…? Why did she have to be this useless…?! The pitiful girl’s train of thought was cut short when the door suddenly creaked open… causing the room she was in to become fully lit.

The room was filled with black and white furniture, and the simplicity of it all gave the surroundings a minimalist and luxurious feel… But that wasn’t what captured Xavia’s attention. No, what made her eyes widen was the sight of Zivon walking in…! What was he doing here?!

“W-why is it you…?” asked the stunned Xavia who was still in her ‘zombie grandma’ getup. Even so, her eyes remained as sharp as ever…

Her weak voice sent surges of emotions within Zivon’s heart. Clenching his fists in his pockets, he then walked up to her before grabbing her chin and glaring straight into her eyes as he said, “And who are you to ask such a question?”

She was unqualified to even appear before him, and with how frigid and terrifying his aura now was, Xavia couldn’t help but feel her body stiffen.

After thinking about it for a while, however, she realized how ridiculous that question was. After all, if he actually cared about her, then he should’ve known about the car accident, her grandmother’s death, and the fact that Yulia was currently in an intensive care unit… What’s more, he wouldn’t have gotten this intimate with Jenna during her short absence…

All this made Xavia smile bitterly as she replied, “…True enough, I’m unqualified to ask that, so please don’t get angry because of me, Young Master Burton…”
