Nathalie watched him walk away, her eyes growing dark.

She turned her gaze to Morris. "Nathan, why did you agree to work for the Sharp family?"

Confused, she continued, "The Maple Company is yours, and you built Stewart Enterprise from scratch. If it's wealth you're after, I can give both companies back to you. There's no need to go looking elsewhere."

After a moment's pause, Nathalie added, a bit downcast, "I get it now. You must really want to leave me behind. But if you join the Sharp family, we'll end up on opposing sides. I don't want to fight against you. So, I'll just resign from the company tomorrow."
