Cameron found himself in over his head, trying to juggle a demanding job, a sickly daughter, and a wife struggling with depression. Greta, being Nellie's sister, felt it was both her duty and her desire to help them through this tough period.

He didn't realize that Nellie's condition was quietly getting worse. After giving birth, her single kidney started failing, and combined with her depression, her health was rapidly declining.

Nellie, determined not to worry him, kept her struggles hidden. What he thought was a peaceful life was actually a ticking time bomb.

Then, out of nowhere, Nellie had a severe kidney failure along with a life-threatening platelet disorder.

Cameron was consumed with guilt; after all, it was his decision for Nellie to donate her kidney. Desperate not to lose her, he made the heart-wrenching choice to have Nina donate blood to her mom.

The situation was critical, and a decision had to be made fast. Moreover, Nina, in tears, insisted on saving her mom.

But as the doctors wheeled Nina in, Nellie lost it.

"I'd rather die than have my daughter donate blood for me."

Because of Nellie's protest, the blood transfusion became more complicated, putting the already frail Nina in a dire situation as well.
