As soon as the word got out, the public dug up most of the incidents related to the Sharp family. A few children of wealthy families who had too much time on their hands even spoke up, mostly talking about how fake Jeffrey could be.

Liesel counted several minutes in her head, and sure enough, Jeffrey called. She silently declined the call, put on her jacket, and left the room.

Coincidentally, as soon as she left the room, Jeffrey called her again. The first thing he did was scream at her.

"Were you behind what happened today? After working at Ford Corporation for so long, you must have a wide network. I'm certain that you're purposely trying to tear the Sharp family down! You little bastard, you're just like your worthless mother. You want to suck the Sharp family dry!"

Liesel knew very well that the Sharp family only managed to reach where they were today because they'd drained her mother, Heather. She merely grunted coolly in response. She allowed him to wail at her all he wanted.

Her lack of response to his cursing made him feel very embarrassed. Panting, he wanted to continue yelling when Liesel let out a faint chuckle while leaning against the wall. "Are you done yet, Mr. Sharp? If you are, then let me tell you about something you're very interested in."

Jeffrey wasn't interested in anything right now. When he heard her say something so senseless, he grew even more furious.

Yet, Liesel continued to poke the bear. Her next words struck Jeffrey like a whip and caught him by surprise.

In spite of his words, he actually never intended to give Liesel a chance to inherit the family business. He was merely lying to manipulate her.

Liesel knew this very well, so she wasn't concerned with it. "Blood relation?" she scoffed derisively. She poured every bit of hatred she held toward Jeffrey in her voice. "It's because of our blood relation that no matter what I do, the filthy and vile Sharp family blood still runs in my veins!

"However, even though we're all Sharps, you and Natalie reside up there, while I am treated like an insect in the gutter. I'm barely scraping by on the scraps that you guys hand out to me.

"If I had a choice, of course, I would never choose to be a Sharp. Do you think you're worthy of being my father? A selfish, despicable person who only cares about themselves like you deserves to live a lonely life and die alone. You don't deserve anyone's pity!"
