Xavier watched Liesel as she handed him her business card and murmured his thanks.

Liesel stood beneath a sycamore tree. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, scattering them softly onto her shoulders. Her long hair danced in the wind, occasionally veiling her cool yet gentle eyes.

With a warm smile, she looked at Xavier. "Contact me if you need anything."

With that, she turned to leave.

Xavier's gaze dropped to the card she had given him, which read, "Liesel Sharp, Project Department Manager, Ford Corporation."

Her name struck him as beautiful.

He recalled her words and wished she could really fulfill his wishes. He hoped to shed his past, an unspeakable chapter of his life, and start anew.

Tightly gripping the card in his hand, Xavier remained rooted in place. His eyes followed Liesel as she walked away.

"You're really lucky to catch Liesel's eye," Helena said as she patted Xavier on the shoulder.

Upon seeing the confusion on his face, she explained, "Liesel has good relationships with the professors at Alden University and a broad network. Once you're at Alden University, you'll have someone looking out for you.

"Since Liesel is interested in you, you might even get opportunities for small-scale business practices during your freshman year."

"Principal Davis, she probably just gave me her card out of courtesy to you," Xavier replied skeptically.

He didn't believe he could be someone Liesel would notice, especially since he was just a minor who hadn't even taken the college entrance exam yet.

He wasn't the type to indulge in daydreams.

No one knew why she interrupted.

"Liesel, are you close with that student? Or have you suddenly taken a liking to such a handsome young man?

"If that's the case, then you really have great taste. That boy is really hot. He's definitely more deserving than Elijah, that wayward rich kid."

Liesel's expression remained unchanged as she ignored Natalie completely.
