Outside the CEO's office at GlobalVision Group, Cherise stepped out of the elevator.

As soon as she saw who it was, Laura quickly stood up and said, "Hello, Ms. Leach. Ms. Xenakis is..."

"I'm not looking for her," Cherise interrupted Laura.

Steven and his group breathed a sigh of relief when Cherise arrived.

Hugh said, "Ms. Leach, you've finally arrived. If you hadn't, Mr. Chivers was going to transfer me." His expression conveyed relief, as if he had found a savior.

Cherise nodded and asked with a hint of urgency, "Where's Morris?"

"He's inside," Leo said, pointing to the office door.

Cherise nodded and, without another word, headed straight for the door.

She took a deep breath, pushed the door open, and walked in.

But as soon as Cherise opened the door, she saw Jason and Morris standing face to face, less than two feet apart.

The office seemed to be filled with a faint tension in the air.

They both turned to look at Cherise at the same time.

Cherise frowned in confusion and asked, "Do you know each other well?"

Leo, who had followed Cherise in, was surprised by the scene, wondering, 'How did they get so close in such a short time?'

Racking his brain, Leo blurted out, "Hey, Mr. Chivers, were you comparing heights with Jason? I was thinking of getting a ruler but couldn't find one anywhere.

"You're standing so close, so you must have already compared your heights, right?

"Who's taller? I'm really curious."

Cherise frowned, confused by their comparison of heights.

The next second, Morris focused on Cherise and said, "Yeah, we're done. I'm a bit taller."

Jason let out a mocking laugh and said, "Yeah, Mr. Chivers is indeed a little taller."

Then, turning to Cherise again, Jason said, "Ms. Leach, I have something I'd like to discuss with you. Are you available now?"

As he said this, his sidelong glance flicked over to Morris, whose expression seemed unaffected.

When Cherise heard this, she turned to Morris as if seeking his opinion. She pursed her lips, thinking it must be about being followed in Hamolica. She replied, "Yeah, just for a moment!"

Jason smiled and said, "Okay."
