Chapter 137
The sky outside, which had been dim just a moment ago, suddenly brightened. A ray of warm sunlight shone through the white curtains, casting a cozy glow over the gray quilt.
Cherise lifted the covers and sat up, looking toward the closed bathroom door with a shy smile.
Half an hour later, Morris emerged from the bathroom, his hair still glistening with a few droplets of water. Aside from the brown towel wrapped around his waist, his upper body was fully exposed.
Usually, when Cherise hugged Morris, she could feel his strong, muscular arms, but she hadn’t expected that underneath his clothes, his body would be so perfectly sculpted.
Healthy tan skin, long muscular arms, broad shoulders, and a well–defined eight–pack. His waist was lean, with no trace of extra weight, and his hips were firm and well–shaped.
Sitting by the bed, Cherise couldn’t help but swallow, mesmerized by the sight.
Morris grabbed a towel te dry his hair, noticing Cherise’s stunned expression. Amused, he chuckled aloud. Realizing she’d been caught staring, Cherise blushed, pulled the covers over herself, and burrowed back into bed.
A moment later, Morris got dressed and sat down on the edge of the bed.
Looking at the small lump on the bed, his eyes were full of affection. In a gentle voice, he said, “Come on, Cherise. You drank last night, and your stomach is probably empty and uncomfortable. Get up and have something to eat, okay?”
After a moment of hesitation, Cherise lifted a small corner of the blanket, revealing only her face as she looked at Morris. She pouted. “It’s all your fault. I missed my morning exercise because of you.”
Morris chuckled at the adorable face peeking out from the blanket. “Babe, how is this my fault? We haven’t even done anything yet. Besides, I could join you for a morning workout if that’s what you want. How does that sound?”
He raised an eyebrow at Cherise.
Flustered, Cherise quickly pulled the covers back over her head, murmuring from beneath, “You should leave. Just go out!” Knowing how shy she was, Morris spoke indulgently, “Alright, I won’t tease you. The pink toothbrush and cup on the sink are for you. Once you’re freshened up, come join me in the dining room. I’ll wait for you there.”
A soft “Okay” sounded from under the covers, and only then did Morris smile slightly and leave the room reluctantly.
Meanwhile, in a high–end apartment building in Betrico, on a cozy, artistic bed, Dora opened her slightly heavy eyelids with some difficulty and struggled to sit up.
She shook her still–groggy head and rubbed her sleepy eyes. Slowly, she opened her eyes and looked at the unfamihar surroundings, then patted her head.
She only remembered going to Ebb & Flow and vaguely seeing Cherise and Truman. After that, her memory was a blur.
