Roy sighed again, “After discovering what Mandy was really like I started calming myself and getting ready to gather evidence beyond what the bug had recorded. 

“Afraid I might get caught someday, I wanted to save my life, and I also thought about telling Jacob the truth and reporting to the police after gathering all the evidence, hoping to make some kind of amends 

“So, I disguised myself as an unnoticed janitor and sneaked into the Lewis Group, and I found out Felix was secretly running illegal businesses. However, all I discovered were his illegal casino operations and his involvement in money laundering and other crimes.

“But two weeks later, some men came to my door and took me away. They were Felix’s men

“They brought me to an unknown basement, locked me in, and Felix and Mandy showed up ready to kill me.

I cursed her as Felix pulled out a gun, intending to kill me.

He paused, contemplating something. “Claire, you asked about Claire. And you do look a lot like her. Could it be that you are the daughter of Claire and Jacob?” 

Cherise raised an eyebrow. “You are not silly now?”
