On the next day, Cherise picked up her phone after breakfast to check Truman’s message about the condition of his grandfather, Gavino Simpson. 

After getting a general understanding, she changed into some comfortable clothes and headed out. 

Outside, a light rain started to fall, creating a misty atmosphere, 

With every autumn rain came a chill. It seemed like everyone on the street had switched to warmer fall clothes. 

Cherise sat in the driver’s seat, watching the hurried passersby while waiting for the traffic light. 

Without realizing it, autumn arrived. It had been months since she left Yasvissa, and she thought it might be time to visit Saphira again.

Mrs. Simpson looked at Cherise, growing more fond of her with each glance, and couldn’t help but remark. “That lucky Morris scored! The Leach family must be blind.” 

“Oh, Mom, Mom, what are you saying? Let’s get inside; Grandpa might fall asleep if he waits too long,” said Truman. Truman quickly stopped Mrs. Simpson from continuing, glancing around worriedly as if someone might overhear. 

Cherise glanced at Truman and Mrs. Simpson, then thought of Xenia and Tina, and smiled to herself. She thought, “No- wonder they’re a family. 

This family atinhphere was nice. 

With them leading the way, Cherise walked into the Simpson family estate.

Unlike other grand families with extravagant furnishings, this place was filled with youth and warmth.

Cherise allowed her to lead the way. The family felt genuine and welcoming, making interactions comfortable. 

Soon, she was brought by Mrs. Simpson and Truman to a room at the end of the first floor. 

They knocked on the door and stepped inside. 

The room was spacious with a suite layout, contrasting the modern style outside. It was classic and elegant and rich in scholarly atmosphere. 

Two male voices emerged from the next room. 

“Dad, just come out with me for a moment. This doctor Truman brought is incredible. Phoebe was ill last time and that young woman cured her. 

“I don’t want to. Mrs. Chivers and Marlon suggested acupuncture You know how scared I am of needles; they hurt a lot,” said Gavino. 

“Dad, acupuncture, and injections are two different things. Try it. The doctor is a professor from Betrico University; it’s not easy for her to come all this way. Let’s not make it a wasted trip.
