Half an hour later, inside the conference room at GlobalVision Group, Across the long conference table, Morris and Jason sat facing each other. One had the majestic presence of a reigning king, while the other was the epitome of a refined gentleman.

Jason let out a cold laugh, "Of course, it can't compare to your Chivers Group! So tell me, what brings a big shot like you, the CEO of both Chivers and now Syphonea Group, two powerful companies, to visit a low-profile assistant like me?

"Nobody visits without a reason. Is it about Cherise?"

Morris chuckled, pulling a cigarette from the pack on the table and gently pushing the box forward.

The cigarette pack slid over to Jason. Jason saw this and also picked up a cigarette.

They both lit their cigarettes, taking a puff, and curls of smoke took shape in front of them. They didn't appear as business partners. Rather, they seemed like friends with some unspoken understanding.

Morris flicked the ash gently into the ashtray. "Yes, it's indeed about her. But first, I have to thank you for helping me secure the bid for the Agrieviel block."

Jason tapped his ash too, "You used your own money. I just made a few calls for you. No need to thank me, it was mainly your strong support."

Morris acknowledged without any modesty, "True."

They smoked quietly for a while. After a few minutes, Morris spoke again, "Did Rayburn return to Hamolica?"

"Yeah," Jason nodded, with a soft sound.

Morris put out the still-burning cigarette. "Last time at Gavino's 80th birthday, Rayburn told me he might just stay in Betrico for good. Is he heading back to Hamolica so suddenly because of Cherise?

"Last time when Cherise was at Chivers Residence affected by the Bone-Eroding drug, Jason took a few strands of her hair. I knew about it.

"But I just didn't reveal it, thinking it was better to let things play out naturally. No need to force it!"

Hearing this, Jason felt there was no point in hiding it from Morris since it would be so easy for him to find out. "Yes, it really does have something to do with Cherise. Since you already know, there's no point hiding it from you.

"The paternity test is done," After saying this, Jason shook his head.
