Cherise, oblivious to the Leach family’s latest drama, kicked off her day with her regular morning exercise. 

Holding a toast, Cherise opened the door to see Dora, her assistant, looking sharp in a fresh white suit and champagne- colored heels, her pixie cut tidy and her confident demeanor highlighted by bold red lips and a matching platinum bag. 

“Morning. Cherise! It’s been ages, Dora greeted 

“Dora, it’s been too long. Cherise said, stepping aside to welcome her in. 

Dora, an expert in her field, might not be the best hacker, but she excelled in business management, marketing, and public relations. 

Seven years ago in Yasvissa, Dora had been caught in a rockslide with her boyfriend, who abandoned her to save himself. Cherise was her rescuer, nursing her back to health after a severe leg injury. Since then, Dora had been a devoted member of Cherise’s team. 

As CEO of GlobalVision Group, Dora was at the forefront, rapidly expanding the company’s reach in Betrico across various sectors including medical equipment, education, and real estate 

While Dora was a recognized figure, the company’s chairman remained an enigma, surrounded by speculation and never appearing in public. 

Dora strode into the room with purpose, pulling a package wrapped in brown cloth from her bag. She presented it to Cherise, who put down her toast to unroll the cloth, revealing a set of shiny needles. 

“Who’s the VIP requiring your urgent skills?” Dora inquired, intrigued. 

“Morris’s grandmother, Cherise responded, her tone flat. 

Dora’s eyebrows shot up. “No kidding? How’d you two hook up?” he asked, clearly surprised.

“By the way. King hasn’t responded in a while. I bet he’s not thrilled about this task,” Dora remarked, almost offhandedly. Cherise sipped her water before replying, “Don’t stress over it. Keep reaching out to him. I have some additional research to do as well.” 

As she replaced her water glass on the table, Cherise’s phone buzzed with a call from Andy 

“Hey, Andy,” Cherise answered. 

“Cherise, could you come by today? Grandpa needs to discuss something with you,” Andy asked. 

Cherise paused. “What’s it about? I’m pretty booked today,” she replied, already planning to treat Morris’s grandmother. 

Andy’s voice was urgent. “It’s about the engagement your mom set up with Mrs. Chambers for you and Jeffrey Jeffrey’s engagement party with Shirley is soon. I need to know where you stand.” 

Cherise 

let out a small laugh. “Engagement, huh? Let’s touch base on it when I get back tomorrow. 

After ending the call, Cherise remained unfazed, her expression as calm as before. 

Dora clued Cherise in on the latest, and Cherise just shook her head. “No wonder she had me targeted before. She probably thought I was after her boyfriend,‘ she remarked, her voice steady
