When Harold returned from the Hawkins residence, he took the secret passage again. It seemed that Rita was meticulous in keeping everything under wraps, determined not to leave any trace for others to find.

Morris shor him a sharp look, immediately standing up. “Put it down! My wife wrapped it up, and I’ll open it myself.” 

Leo froze at Morris’s reprimand, quickly withdrawing his hands from the box. He gently patted it twice and forced an awkward smile. “It’s fine. I didn’t touch it.”

Morris stopped Leo and walked over to the package. He crouched down, gently lifting the large box as if it were a precious artifact. He carefully began to open it, taking his time with each movement.

Inside, there was a large roll of bubble wrap, surrounding two small bottles. Apparently, Hugh had assumed these were valuable items sent by Cherise, so he had gone overboard with the packing. 

Morris stared at the two bottles in his hands, frowning in confusion. “What’s this?” 

Hearing Morris’s mumble, Leo immediately moved closer. “Mr. Chivers, the bottles have labels. I saw it–one is for kidney health, and the other is for strengthening your body.” 

Morris turned his head to look at him, his eyes narrowing with a hint of irritation. “I can read, okay? But do you think I need this?” 

Just then, Steven entered, catching the tail end of Leo’s comment “Of course, you can, Mr. Chivers. It’s just… Well, I understand you. Since it’s your first marriage, you might not know these things. It’s fine. You’ll see what it will do for you.” 

Steven understood immediately what Leo was trying to say and quickly chimed in Mr. Chivers, it’s not a big deal. Mrs. Chivers doesn’t mind it, or she wouldn’t have sent you these pills she made herself. These pills are clearly tailored to your needs. 

“Instead of obsessing over what these pills are for, you might want to consider how to make her happier.” 

Morris, holding the two small bottles, stood up and returned to his chair. He rubbed his forehead, frowning in frustration. “Why do you think I need these pills? Do I look that weak?”

Leo and Steven exchanged quick glances before hastily retreating from the office. 

Once they were gone, Morris immediately pulled out his phone and called Cherise. Her contact was saved under “Dear

After a few rings, Cherise picked up. “Good morning, Morris! What’s up? Did you miss me?” 

Hearing her voice, Morris felt a wave of relief. “Yeah, I missed you. 

Cherise’s laughter echoed through the phone, clearly amused by his response. 

Morris glanced at the two small bottles on his desk, a slight frown forming as he said, “The package arrived.”
