Rita watched Rayburn walk away, chuckling coldly, “Haha, are you blaming me? Or are you trying to teach me how to do things? What role are you speaking from, a husband?” 

“No, you’re not even worthy. After decades of marriage, today is the first time you’re stepping into my life. And you come here to lecture me? Is it for the woman named Cherise? Is it just because she looks like the woman you love? 

If that’s the case, that’s really quite laughable.” Rita’s face showed no emotion, no trace of anger or sadness. 

She walked to the mirror, put on the brown coat with a fur collar that was hanging on the rack, adjusted her appearance, picked up 

her expensive handbag from the shelf, and stepped out the door. 

Unlike her usual calm demeanor, today Rita carried quite a bit of arrogance. 

She walked straight to the black sedan parked at the door, spoke to the driver, and the car slowly drove away from the foot of Azure Peak. 

An hour later, the vehicle was stopped in front of a heavily guarded mansion in the city center. 

A few tall guards in uniform stood at the mansion gate, blocking the way. 

One of the guards, seemingly the leader, saluted the vehicle before stepping forward to knock on the window. 

The driver, somewhat intimidated by the scene outside, stammered, “Ma’am, this, this?”

The lead guard approached, saluting again, “Ma’am, this place is off–limits to the general public. Please leave immediately.” Rita smiled at him, “Could you please inform them that I am Rita, a good friend of Mrs. Jarrett? We talked on the phone earlier, and she insisted that I visit her here as soon as I returned to Betrico. Thank you for your trouble!” 

The guard observed the old lady’s refined manner of speaking, making it clear she wasn’t ordinary. After briefly hesitating he said, “Alright, please wait a moment. I’ll have someone notify them of your arrival.” 

Rita nodded at him. “Thank you for your trouble!” 

She then quietly sat in the car, waiting patiently with noble grace 

After about fifteen minutes, the guard hurried back, “Hello! Our lady invites you inside. Drive forward, and someone will guide you. This way, please!” 

As he said this, he signaled for the gate to be opened. 

Rita lifted her head to thank the guard before the vehicle drove into the estate. 

Sitting in the backseat, Rita looked at the surroundings of the estate, with a hint of envy in her eyes. 

The estate was very large and heavily guarded, with guards posted every few steps. 

After driving for about five minutes, they arrived at a large mansion. 

As soon as the car stopped, a guard opened the door for Rita and said, “Please be careful, this way!” 

Rita looked around as she walked into the estate, filled with nostalgia, as if she was back in the time when she was admired by all.
