Hearing her family’s comforting words, Melissa cried even harder. After a while, she composed herself. She opened the photo to show Henry and the others. 

“Morris doesn’t want me anymore. There’s a woman with him now. Everything I’ve done for him all these years was in vain.” Melissa, who had been crying sadly, suddenly looked fierce at the mention of Morris being with another woman. 

“What?” the other three in the room exclaimed in surprise. 

Jemma had always known how deeply her daughter loved Morris Over the years, she felt that only someone from Betrico, like Morris, was worthy of her daughter. 

Hearing out of the blue that there was a woman by his side was tough for her to accept. 

“How can this be? You’ve publicly stated that Morris is your ideal partner many times, yet he still doesn’t get your feelings, Jemma said, clearly unhappy.

“Besides, Melissa, you’re one of the top debutantes in Betrico, perfectly matched with the Chivers family. 

“Marriage is something we elders need to discuss, Your mom and I will talk to the Chiverses. There’s no need to cry about it. “But Dad, Phoebe doesn’t seem to like me that much, Melissa said worriedly. 

“Phoebe is practically on her way out. I can’t believe she wouldnt want someone to support Morris after she’s gone, Henry said confidently. 

Jeffrey nodded in agreement, looked down at the phone on the bed, and said. “That woman’s silhouette looks really familiar Have I seen her somewhere before? Is there only this one photo 

“Is it someone you used to flirt with?” Henry said disapprovingly 

Jeffrey quickly denied it, “What are you talking about? I only love my Shirley.” 

Melissa’s eyes lit up instantly, and she quickly took out her phone. “I have a side profile photo of her. Take a look.” 

Jeffrey took the phone and immediately noticed the exquisite profile and flowing black hair, his eyes widened. “It’s her, Shirley’s sister.” 

Jemma grabbed the phone and looked, “What? Let me see 

She confirmed, “It really is her. I was just saying who could shamelessly flirt with Morris like that, turns out it’s that ignorant -country girl. Good thing Jeffrey called off the engagement with Her.” 

Melissa was puzzled. “Are you saying this woman is Cherise, the one Jeffrey broke the engagement with? The daughter from the Leach family who just came from an impoverished town, Shirley’s sister?”
