The excitement from Betrico University’s centennial celebration lingered into the night. The campus radio blasted a variety of rousing songs non–stop. 

Once Cherise stepped out of Trent’s office, she pulled out her phone. Unfortunately, no matter how many times she tried, it remained off with a dead battery 

Looking at the brightly lit campus of Betrico University, she quickly headed downstairs. As soon as she got downstairs, someone called out to her. “Ms. Leach” 

Cherise stopped and turned around. There was the man with one arm, standing by the wall at the entrance of the administration building. 

She frowned slightly. “It’s you?” For some reason, this guy gave her an uncomfortable feeling. 

Joseph looked at the confused Cherise and said with a smile, “I should now call you Ms. Leach, congratulations, Ms. Leach! I was wondering if you would do me the honor of having a meal with me?”
