At the Leach manor’s main house, Jacob sat in the main seat of the living room, furious. “I said it was impossible for Cherise to be a professor. Who would believe that?

“I just made an agreement with Mr. Moraros from HomeBase Estates, and now we might have offended him. The deal with Duskson could be off.” 

Mandy, next to him, had a smug look. “Cherise sure is naive, making such big claims without knowing her own limits or considering what her backers would think..

Before the words settled, Jacob’s assistant, looking anxious, walked in.

“Okay Morris nodded with satisfaction.
