Anderson came out after changing his clothes. 

In the restaurant downstairs, they sat in their usual spot. Dinner was already prepared, and it was a feast of food. Seeing the lavish dinner spread, Mayra’s eyes lit up. 

“Andy, there’s so much food. Will we be able to finish it?” 

Anderson replied, “If we can’t finish it, you can have the leftovers for supper.” 

Mayra nodded. “Sure.” 

Mayra didn’t usually eat greasy food, but she was feeling greedy. She took the crispy roast pork which had already been sliced by the waiter, sprinkled some seasoning on top of it, and then ate it with relish. Anderson took some tissues and wiped the corners of her mouth as if he were handling a pet. “Don’t worry, there’s plenty of food. Don’t eat too much at night or you might get a stomachache later.” Mayra said, “It would be a waste to throw away the unfinished food. We shouldn’t waste food.” 

He stared at her and said, “Things are different now. You can eat when you want to and not eat if you don’t want to. I won’t let you go hungry again.”

Shortly later, Hailey also arrived. She usually wore high heels, but she had switched to flats. Judging by her walking posture, her injuries were probably not fully healed yet.
