Chapter 25
Anderson replied, “Would you like to come visit? How about I bring you here next time?”
“I’d love to,” Mayra responded.
As the voice on the other end gradually faded, Anderson’s gaze dimmed slightly. He asked, “Do you really wish for me to get married, Mayra?”

Anderson didn’t hang up the phone. He finished his wine and placed his phone on his bedside table. Suddenly, he heard a soft murmur from the phone.
“Gordan, how dare you ignore me. From now on, I won’t bother about you anymore. Andy, when will you be back? I miss you.”

Mayra slept soundly until the next morning. If it wasn’t for the dog barking outside, she might’ve slept even longer.
Glancing at the clock on the wall, she noticed that it was nearly 6:30 a.m. She hurriedly got out of bed and washed up. When she reached for her phone, she noticed that it was completely flat.
Mayra grabbed her school bag and hurried downstairs. She rushed to the bus stop, barely making it in time.
The streets were relatively empty at this hour. With just a few seconds to spare, Mayra made it just in time for class.
Just as the school administrator was about to close the school gates, Gordon was the one who stopped them. Being late to school would result in a penalty.
