Nathan rushed to the police station after receiving the call. When Rowane noticed Nathan's initial tender expression had turned hard, she felt incredibly guilty. She had never dreamed that the person she loved would be the same Nathan who had been Irene's guardian for the past nine years. Why was it that the person she liked always had something to do with Irene? First, it had been Edric. Now, it was Nathan.

She was pregnant with Nathan's child now. As Nathan despised her, Rowane did not want Nathan to misunderstand her any further. The moment she saw Nathan, she told Nathan everything that had happened to her.

Nathan had heard from Jordan that Rowane was a woman with an evil heart. So, he had begun to loathe her. Now, he knew that she had been deceived by Marie, and his hatred towards Rowane naturally dissipated. Hence, Nathan decided to bring Rowane back to Haverland.

When Edric heard that Nathan was bringing Rowane back to Haverland, he went to look for Irene. He told Irene that Marie had sent an assassin to kill Rowane, which resulted in her losing her memories, but she was eventually saved by Nathan.

Irene was not a fool. After listening to what Eric told her, she instantly knew that the woman with whom Nathan had an affair with was Rowane. Her face darkened and thus she had a bad impression of Rowane.

She was a nice person, but she had chosen to be Edric's lover. Although she had only been acting as a lover, she had done something indecent. Moreover, she felt even irritated upon knowing that Rowane had confidently confronted her about Edric's matter.

In the end, Edric had fallen into Rowane's trap. If it was not for Lily having her period at that time, Edric would definitely have had an affair with Lily. How could such a disgusting woman ended up in Nathan's bed? More importantly, Rowane was bearing Nathan's child. Irene could not believe that Rowane had lost her memories. Edric knew Irene was not at peace. He told Irene, "Irene, I have yet to tell you one more thing. Rowane might be your stepsister from another mother."

Edric told Irene everything that Simon had shared with him. Irene did not expect that things had turned out back then. If Rowane was indeed the daughter to both Steven and Marie, then this matter would be complicated.

Rowane followed Nathan back to Haverland and immediately went to speak to Irene. She apologized and begged Irene for forgiveness. Since Irene was kind-hearted in nature, the hatred in her vanished because she understood that Rowane's wrongdoings had been because she had no other way. Moreover, Rowane had even gone to her sincerely to beg for her forgiveness.

Upon seeing Rowane's facial features which were similar to hers, Irene realized that she might indeed be her stepsister. At that instant, her heart softened even further, and she forgave Rowane.

Steven only had a few more days to live. If Rowane was indeed the daughter of Steven and Marie, Steven had to know about it before he passed away.

Irene requested Edric to perform a paternity test for Rowane and Steven. The results soon revealed that Rowane was indeed Steven's daughter.

Rowane was delighted to know that she was Irene's stepsister. She finally found a family member. However, the next big problem arose. Suppose Marie, her own mother, had planned Irene's mother's death. Did that mean Irene would not acknowledge her as her stepsister due to the resentment she felt?
